Yesterday, Rebecca Mansour spokeswoman for SarahPac told an interviewer that the symbols on the famous 'take a stand' map' were 'surveyors symbols and not targets'. Funny how SarahPac didn't explain that in March 2010 when Rep. Gifford commented on MSNBC; “Sarah Palin has the cross hairs of a gun sight over our district and when people do that, they’ve gotta realize there are consequences to that action.”
I expect the apologists for the far right to get even more creative and less in touch with reality over the coming weeks and months. Adding to the surreal air? These are the folks who believe personal accountability is the solution to all problems. So, how do they deal with the results of their speech - they put the blame for their violent invective on their opponents:
From Michelle Malkin's spew this morning: "And don’t let the media whitewash the sins of the hypocritical Left in their naked attempt to suppress the law-abiding, constitutionally-protected, peaceful, vigorous political speech of the Right." Positively Orwellian, that's not a compliment Ms. Malkin
On chat boards across the nation and world members of the right are claiming that President Obama brought it all on the left when he made his 'If they bring knives, we'll bring guns' comment at a fundraiser in Philadelphia back in June 2008, why this statement? Because there are far fewer examples of violent speech that could incites lawless behavior coming from the left that's why.
